Privacy Policy

How SEOBoss accesses, uses, stores, and protects data.

Effective date: August 14, 2026

SEOBoss ("we", "our", or "the service") is a keyword research application that provides search-market analysis and related analytical tools. This policy describes the information processed by SEOBoss and our practices for Google API data.

1. Information we process

Depending on the features used, SEOBoss may process keywords and research requests, keyword datasets supplied by users, geographic and language targeting parameters, Google Ads keyword-planning and historical metric data, Google Ads account identifiers or authorization context needed to make authorized requests, research configuration, generated analytical results, and technical information reasonably necessary to operate and secure the service.

2. Google API data

SEOBoss may use Google OAuth and the Google Ads API to provide keyword-research functionality. When Google access is authorized, SEOBoss accesses Google data only as necessary to provide the functionality requested by the user.

For Google Ads API workflows, this may include account context and keyword-planning information such as historical search demand, competition, competition index, and bid-range metrics for keywords selected for research.

SEOBoss uses this information to provide keyword research, search-volume analysis, competition analysis, historical trend analysis, and related research outputs. Google-provided metrics may be combined with SEOBoss-derived analytical fields, but internally calculated fields are not represented as Google-provided metrics.

Limited Use. SEOBoss's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. How Google user data is used

Google user data is used only for providing, maintaining, protecting, and improving the user-facing functionality described in this policy, including authorized keyword research and analysis. We do not sell Google user data and do not use Google user data for unrelated advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes.

4. Sharing

SEOBoss does not sell personal information or Google user data. Information may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf when reasonably necessary to host, secure, operate, or support the service, or disclosed when required by applicable law.

5. Storage and retention

Research data may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide requested functionality, preserve user-generated research, prevent unnecessary duplicate processing, troubleshoot the service, satisfy legal obligations, and maintain security. Data that is no longer needed for these purposes may be deleted or de-identified.

6. Credentials and tokens

OAuth credentials, access tokens, refresh tokens, Google Ads developer tokens, and other secrets are treated as sensitive information. They are not intentionally embedded in public frontend code, public downloads, or exported keyword datasets.

7. User choices and deletion requests

Users may request information about data associated with them or request deletion of data that SEOBoss controls by contacting support@seobossresearch.com. We may need to retain limited information where required by law or for legitimate security and recordkeeping purposes.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed. No system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as SEOBoss evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.
