Product overview
SEOBoss is a keyword research and opportunity-analysis application. It converts raw keyword candidates into structured research that users can explore, compare, shortlist, and export.
SEOBoss can combine Google Ads keyword-planning metrics with independently generated or user-provided keyword information and SEOBoss-derived analysis.
Primary capabilities
- keyword opportunity exploration;
- historical search-volume analysis;
- competition and bid-range analysis;
- trend analysis;
- keyword clustering;
- probable search-intent classification;
- commercial/economic signal review;
- source evidence and data-health review;
- shortlisting and export.
Google Ads API purpose
SEOBoss uses the Google Ads API as an upstream keyword-research data source. When authorized, the integration may use KeywordPlanIdeaService and historical keyword metrics to enrich user-requested keyword research with Google-provided search-market information.
Depending on the request and data available, this may include keyword text and close variants, average monthly searches, monthly historical search volume, competition level and competition index, low and high top-of-page bid ranges, and geographic, language, and network targeting context.

Derived data
SEOBoss may calculate or classify fields such as search intent, clusters, trend indicators, rankings, and opportunity scores. These fields are SEOBoss-derived and are not represented as metrics supplied directly by Google.
Research-focused scope
The principal Google Ads API workflow is research and reporting oriented. SEOBoss does not need to automatically create campaigns, create ads, modify budgets, modify bids, pause campaigns, or delete campaigns in order to provide its core keyword-research functionality.
Data ingestion
Prepared keyword datasets may be loaded from supported files such as CSV/XLS/XLSX or from supported remote sources such as Google Sheets. File and Sheet ingestion are separate from the Google Ads API integration.
Processing and reliability
Large research requests may be normalized, deduplicated, and processed in controlled batches. API errors, missing metrics, service limits, and transient failures are handled as operational conditions rather than being replaced with fabricated Google Ads values.
Credential handling
OAuth credentials, access tokens, refresh tokens, developer tokens, and other secrets are intended to remain in protected backend configuration. They are not intended to be exposed through public browser code or keyword exports.
Privacy and support
For data-handling details, see the Privacy Policy. For questions about the product or access, see Support.
